Commercial projects can be developed entirely through the AirClad in house design team or with you or your design agencies to develop a structure from brief. A commercial project can be a new design and build as well as hire or leasing options. With the hire and leasing option we still have the opportunity to develop part custom solutions and branding to enhance your structure and event requirements. Our key experience with the commercial projects is that often the time lines are tight and as such it is even more important to get all the details of the project requirements as efficiently as possible. We have a lot of experience making tight projects work, but it is is much better to plan with good time to test and check everything before going live.
The following covers the key milestones of the project, and these would form part of our commercial proposals.
For all commercial projects we need to define the over all brief and budget prior to starting detailed design work, *unless as noted below
You may already have plans and sketches of what you need to develop. If this is the case we can take these drawings and give any advice where needed and prepare you a turn key quote to produce and deliver your AirClad. We are able to give top line estimates, but we prefer to make formal quotations as this will eliminate any assumptions, and would need a final confirmed budget before we could start. If you wish to work with our in house team we will develop a brief with you, or take your briefing document to work from. To create a turn key proposal the key things we must have at this stage is the date required, an approximate size and any brand guidelines to follow. If there is a budget to work within this should be advised before any works starts in case the budget is un achievable. We can give you guide prices based on previous work done.
Once we have a brief we will respond with with a formal proposal to include supporting images and some Initial sketches if needed to explain anything visually. This will help to form the outline of your project. These will be used in consultation with yourself to assess if there is any further development needed prior to starting detailed design work. Subject to the complexity of the brief we can often make these proposals within 1 working week of being notified of the project and determining the brief.
*We are able to offer a purely design process on a daily rate for projects where detailed work for you to evaluate exactly what your final brief and budget will be. This work would be done as sketches and computer visuals to create a visual intent to then produce a design and build quotation to.
Most the Commercial structures are designed and engineered non site specific as they are often toured and re used in different locations. As such site visits are not always needed. However we can make site visits anywhere in the world to assess a project in more detail. We will advise if we think this is crucial for your project.
Project development through Working Drawings and Computer Visualisation based on indicative engineering
We will start work with you or your design team to develop the design towards a realistic look. We will liaise with our engineers regards the scale a details for the structure and production knowledge we have. It is important at this stage to notify us if there are any special engineering requirements you may have as design decisions may effect this later. We will produce 3d visuals and can make fly throughs to explain the project structure in more detail. At this phase we should ensure all the key briefing is met in terms of design and the budget is being kept to.
Subject to the scale project and speed of feedback to work produced this phase would take from 4 weeks to develop.
This will be addressed in the above development phase if required. Please note most commercial events do not require planning, however AirClad is well equipped to work the planning for you.
Working Drawings and Engineering
Once we have look of the final design agreed we will produce the full working drawings and all the engineering will be completed to these. These drawings will now form the basis of the shop drawings for production. At this stage any changes can involve going to make to the beginning, so it is very important to ensure the project develop phase has all the information we need to complete the structure as you need.
This phase will take from 3 weeks subject to scale of the project.
Sign off for production
This is for you to confirm to proceed to production based on all the visuals and drawings supplied by AirClad and or you design team.
The production is all done in the UK and virtually everything is CNC manufactured from our original files which helps each project to run smoothly on site. In certain cases we will manufacture in another country where the structure is to be installed subject the project and local suppliers available to produce components from our files.
Production from 8 weeks subject to size of structure and work shop facilities
All structures come flat packed and palletised for transportation. Everything is designed to ship as efficiently as possible and be able to get to the most restrictive sites where other structures may not be able to be installed in.
Installation and Project Management
The installation of the AirClad structures can be made from your own crew with one of our site mangers or by our own crew. All AirClad structures come with a full build manual, care instructions and warranty.
Once you have your AirClad if there is anything further you may need we will be able to support you with telephone and internet data. Plus as with all our buildings we can send service crew to site.
